DATA RETENTION

Personal data is deleted after warranty periods and legal retention periods have elapsed. Data connected with your user account will be retained to manage this account. Registration data for the newsletter is saved as long as it is required for sending the newsletter. Logging of the registration and the receiving address are saved for as long as interest in proving the original consent is present, normally up to three years. IP addresses are saved for a limited period in the log files if required for security purposes, service provision, or billing. After cancelling the ordering process or payment receipt, the IP address is deleted once it is no longer needed for security purposes, except in cases of suspected criminal activity.

GOOGLE ANALYTICS

Our website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service provided by Google Inc., to analyse website usage. Google Analytics uses cookies to enable the analysis. The information generated by the cookie about your website use is typically transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there. We have activated IP anonymization, so Google will truncate your IP address within the European Union or other areas of the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transferred to Google servers in the USA and truncated there. Access, Rectification, and Erasure

You have the right to access your personal data and receive information about its processing, including the purpose, categories of data, recipients, storage period, and your GDPR rights. You can request access, rectification, or erasure by registered mail or email to info@umi-europe.com. We will respond within one month.

Incomplete or inaccurate data can be corrected or deleted. You are responsible for correcting inaccuracies through the application. You can also request rectification by providing a supplementary statement to UMI Europe nv. We will respond within one month.

You have the right to have your data deleted without unreasonable delay under certain circumstances, such as when the data is no longer necessary, you withdraw consent, there are no overriding legitimate grounds for processing, the data has been unlawfully processed, or deletion is required by law.

Restriction and Objection

You can request that we restrict the processing of your data if:

  • You contest the accuracy of the data.
  • The processing is unlawful, but you don’t want it deleted.
  • We no longer need the data, but you need it for legal claims.
  • We are assessing the grounds for erasure.

Right to be Forgotten

When you request rectification, deletion, or restriction, we will inform all recipients of your data unless this is impossible or requires disproportionate effort. You can request information about these recipients.

Withdrawal of Consent and Complaints

You can withdraw your consent at any time. This will not affect the lawfulness of processing based on your consent before withdrawal. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority regarding our processing of your data.
